Welcome to the Positive Prevention Toolkit
This Toolkit was created by the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing to assist health care providers and counselors in delivering effective Positive Prevention messages during their routine interactions with HIV-infected clients.
In addition to our own program materials, we have included valuable curricula, reports, and other resources developed by respected organizations involved in HIV prevention and care throughout the world, but especially in Southern Africa. We have learned and benefited from these materials, and hope that this Toolkit's users will find them similarly beneficial.
The Toolkit is a project of an ongoing Positive Prevention program based in Mozambique, which trains healthcare workers on approaches to Positive Prevention. As the program matures and expands, we plan to continue to use this site to disseminate the curricula and other tools that have been developed and refined in the course of our work.
