Description:

Course Objectives:

  1. Decrease HIV transmission risk and risk behavior among HIV-infected adults (e.g., supported partner disclosure, testing, behavior change, prevention of mother-to-child transmission or PVT)
  2. Increase comfort and skill of clinical providers in addressing HIV risk behavior
  3. Address the prevention needs of HIV-infected individuals

Trainers' manual includes preparatory instructions and agenda and eight training modules. Topics include risk reduction and prevention messages, disclosure, family planning, prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and healthy living for people with HIV. Annex includes exercises and job aids.
